History of Christians In Action in Macau

The house meeting every Sunday night in John & Sandra Levy's home. John is playing the accordion, Sandra playing the guitar...& John Hyron was playing the tub tuba! The year maybe was 1976!

On the roof top of a building during a service for the 4 square orphanage. John Levy is playing the accordion, John's son, Robin is blowing his horn, John Hyron is playing the tub tuba, next is Doug & Becky Sutherland, and Sandra Levy playing the guitar. They are all making a joyful noise to the Lord! The year maybe was 1976 or early 1977.

The team we had in Macau in 1978 to 1980. From left to right is...Graham Dodd, John, Rita & Ray Connelly, Doug & Becky Sutherland. Sitting in the front from left to right...Sandra, Robin & John Levy. And in the very front is the Fred the cat! Sue Dodd (Graham's wife) was taking the photo. At that time Ray and Rita were not yet married but were married after returning to the States.

Far East Conference in Okinawa 1977. From left to right...John Levy playing the guitar, Doug Sutherland playing the tub tuba, John singing and in the front is Sandra Levy and Becky Sutherland playing the guitar. Again we were all making a joyful noise to the Lord!

Far East Conference in Okinawa 1977. In the very middle, the man speaking is Rev. Bill Quisenberry who was for many years the Far East Director, Vice President of Christians In Action, founder of the Okinawa ministry, founder of the Brazilian ministry and also helped open up the Macau ministry along with John & Sandra Levy in November 1973. And the tall young man with glasses on the far left is Dave Konold, who is now Christians In Action's President. At that time Dave was in the Navy on Okinawa. It was a wonderful Far East conference with many lovely memories!
